Marvin Humes has admitted asking for the approval of 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell before taking his new job as 'The Voice' host.
The JLS star, who is replacing Reggie Yates as a presenter on the BBC1 singing show, said he phoned Cowell when he was offered the role.
He told the Daily Mirror: "Fortunately he gave me the thumbs up. I was touched. Simon's always been very supportive and he would never hold me back."

Humes, who has recently done a presenting stint on This Morning with his wife Rochelle, will team up with fellow new presenter Emma Willis, who is replacing Holly Willoughby.
The show has also recruited Kylie Minogue and Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson as coaches following the departure of Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue.

Humes, who found fame with JLS in the 2008 series of The X Factor, also said One Direction star Niall Horan was like his little brother.
He said: "He's a great guy and I bonded with him from the start when he was on X Factor."
