His character is then due to expand in the two planned sequels in the saga, which will also star ‘Game Of Thrones’ actress Emilia Clarke.

According to Deadline, the British star is reportedly the last major piece of casting for the upcoming blockbuster, which will see Arnie reprising his iconic role of cyborg T-800.

Since leaving the cult BBC series behind, he has been trying his hand at something new, and was recently seen treading the boards in London’s West End in the musical adaptation of ‘American Psycho’.

If he’s been hanging around with Arnie on set before then - we might get to see a newly buffed-up Matt lifting a Dalek over his head, who knows?

‘Terminator: Genesis’ is currently tipped for release in July 2015.
