Rocker Meat Loaf wants a job on TV talent show The Voice - because he likes the idea of becoming a mentor to a raw talent.
The Bat Out of Hell star has revealed he was approached to be a judge on American Idol before the talent show's second season - but turned producers down.
And now he's ready to become a regular on The Voice, which has become a worldwide hit following its debut in America last year.
He tells Spinner.com: "I think The Voice is a better show (than Idol). Man, I would love to be a mentor on that show. Let's put that out there right now... I would love it.
"I would take it so seriously, would work so hard and would give my heart and soul to that gig if I had it. I pride myself on being able to work like that.
"If they had room, I'd do it in a minute."
