Spice Girls singer Melanie Chisholm is set to become a permanent judge on TV talent contest Superstar.
The star sat on the judging panel of the ITV show for the first episode last Saturday and producers were so impressed, they struck a last minute five-figure deal to keep her on.
Chisholm, who is to play Mary Magdalene in an upcoming arena production of Jesus Christ Superstar, will join judges Jason Donovan, Dawn French and Andrew Lloyd Webber in their search for a star of the musical.
On her new job, she tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I am absolutely delighted. It's been an incredible experience so far and I just can't wait for the nation to decide who will be playing Jesus in the amazing arena tour of the production."
