We're used to beautiful women striking an arch pose or casting long, wistful looks far off into the distance, so it makes a refreshing change for the eyes to see men wearing a veil of femininity, if only for a while.
Photographer Nir Arieli's portrait series "Men" places men in traditionally feminine spaces and postures, which makes us re-evaluate how stereotypical feminine 'traits' have become. Also, we're slightly ashamed to say, these men pull it off way better than we can at HuffPost UK Lifestyle.

In an email to HuffPost US, Arieli said: "In my work I try to expose a component of masculinity that was once oppressed by common social codes. Gentleness, uncensored emotion, vulnerability –- all of these became, under the influence of the social evolution, unnatural characteristics when manifested by men."
