Microsoft is offering up to $200 if you want to trade in an iPad for a Surface tablet.
With a new generation of Surface tablets on the horizon, perhaps Microsoft has spare stock lying around? Or maybe they really just want to get their machines out of the warehouse and into people's hands.
Either way, the deal is being offered in the US as a way to transition people onto Windows RT and away from Apple's iOS platform.
Microsoft specifies that the offer applies only to 'gently used' iPad 2, 3 or 4th generations. And for trading it in you're not necessarily going to have to buy a Surface - it's actually giving out cash or Microsoft Store gift cards.
If you're heading out the US in the next few weeks, it sounds like a good deal if you have two iPads and you want some more spending money. But judging by most of the reviews, you might want to reconsider buying a Surface in either case.
