The toreador came to town at Dolce & Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2015 catwalk show during Milan Fashion Week today.
Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce revisited many of their favourite silhouettes (corset tops, embellished hot pants, bralets), prints (florals, pretty polka dots) and fabrics (lace, mesh, embroidered satin, silk fringing) in a palette of mostly black, white and red.
The collection was full of opulent details: jewelled embellishments and gold accents (not only on dresses but also adorning denim and cropped toreador jackets, a recurring gold flaming heart motif, lace knee-highs and the most exquisite Fabergé-egg style caged heels, which opened at the heel to reveal sculpted gold hearts.
Believe it or not - that wasn't even the best accessory on the catwalk (it wasn't the amazing filigreed sunglasses, either). Models carried boxes with mini Dolce & Gabbana dolls, clad in black corsets, hot pants and sheer knee highs. (The must-have accessory for next season? Clearly a Barbie).
Linda Evangelista and Eva Herzigova sat front row, while Kendall Jenner cemented her status as rising fashion star with yet another catwalk appearance, looking gorgeous in a black mesh embroidered flower mini-dress teamed with embellished floral cowboy boots.
