If Versace wanted to do low-key, this Autumn/Winter 2014 collection was it. Donatella Versace stripped away the usual glitz and presented a show all about simple, effortless style with just a touch of glamour.
The military influence was seen on double-breasted jackets adorned with gold buttons. Over-the-knee boots and bags were given the gold embellishment too.
However, it was a series of bias-cut slip dresses in white, red and powder blue that hinted at Donatella's new direction. Yes they looked super slinky, but this season's sex appeal subtle in contrast to what we've seen from the designer before.
Even the hair and makeup was simple (but still glossy) with poker straight cuts and a touch of shine on the lips.
This is a pared down version of the Versace girl. And we like it.
