The Force Awakens has soared to number two in the 2016 official calendar chart presented by Danilo.
The seventh entry in the blockbusting franchise is a new entry in the retail sales-based chart, which also reflects popular trends.
However, Star Wars: The Force Awakens could not make the jump to the number one spot, which is held by the Minions from the Despicable Me movie franchise.
Former top-sellers One Direction are now at number four, a drop of two places from their position in 2014.
The band - Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - are the highest placed music artists.
Enduring pop star Cliff Richard, who turned 75 this year, is at number six.
Calendars featuring female stars are led by model Kelly Brooks who is at number 10.
The X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is at 15, with pop princess Kylie Minogue a new entry at 20.
In football-based calendar sales, Manchester United climb three places on last year and are now enjoying third spot.
Liverpool are just behind in fifth.
Jennie Halsall, spokeswoman for Danilo Promotions Ltd, said: "The Danilo Chart is a reflection of changing taste of the calendar buying public.
"It is a good observation of who is popular and who is not. It has even surprised us that two blockbusting movies have gone straight to the top in our retail sale Chart.
"But you can't keep Cliff Richard away. He's been in our chart for the last 30 years."
