So far so ever-so-slightly uncomfortable. However the portal does point several times it is "Strictly an online dating website. Escorts are not welcome."
A browse of profiles reveals a hundreds of women, most of who allude to having had "some modelling experience", with some speaking of time spent at finishing school.
One candidate points out she is a keen horserider, adding this "leads to me being quite flexible."
Founder Brandon Wade describes himself as a "leading dating expert" and is also the brains behind additional ‘sugar daddy’ sites including SeekingArrangement.com, SeekingMillionaire.com and WhatsYourPrice.com.
Wade has taken to his Twitter account to defend the venture, assuring people it's neither a joke nor a viral campaign
And business is booming. In fact, SeekingArrangement has revealed the top 20 British universities with the highest number of students joining the site.
The surge in popularity is apparently down to the £9,000 tuition fees now faced by university students, with Wade telling the Daily Mail: "We've had a huge influx of beautiful, highly educated young women."
According to the figures, the University of Nottingham has had 61 sign-ups in the last year, there were 57 at the University of Kent and 51 have taken the plunge at the London School of Economics.
Wade offers the following sage advice for aspiring Sugar Babies:
- Don’t forget how hot and how fun you are!
- Don’t skip a beat when you’re given a treat.
- Keep your emotions (and expectations) in sugar-check”
- Be brutally honest”
- Always be on your guard”
Wade adds: "You might find that when presented with a very expensive gift or a large sum of money, you feel anxious and even guilty about accepting it. However, as a sugar baby, you must realize that part of your ‘role’ in an arrangement is to graciously accept the benefits from your sugar daddy.
"A sugar daddy wouldn’t be one if he couldn’t handle the idea of having a gorgeous, younger companion as his arm candy and special someone. In the same sense, a sugar baby wouldn’t be a sugar baby if she’s not comfortable with being given the finer things in life without having to work her butt off for it.”
Thanks Brandon.
