That's the resounding message to taken from this incredible head-cam footage posted online by 21-year-old Jack Sanderson.

Remarkably, he didn't need to upload the video from a hospital bed encased in plaster as he escaped the 40ft tumble with only minor injuries.

Sanderson was riding his 600cc Kawasaki Ninja along the Cat and Fiddle road in the Derbyshire Peak District, a stretch known to be incredibly dangerous.

As he passes his friend and turns a corner he is suddenly on a collision course with an oncoming car.

In a split second he chooses to go over the edge of the road rather than hit the vehicle.

"When I went over the ridge I was like helicopter spinning. I thought, this is it. I’m a gonner."

But he wasn't and he remarkably dusts himself off and walks back up the bank.

He published the video as a warning to others he might not be so lucky in the same situation.

He said: "I put it on YouTube as a kind of deterrent to others not to be as stupid as I was. I always have a camera on my head, it's just for fun normally - but also there if anything more serious happens like this."
