If you’ve always wanted to climb Everest, but don’t fancy risking your life in the process, the latest virtual reality experience for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive might appeal.
Everest VR, a collaboration between Icelandic VR studio Solfar and visual effects experts RVX, lets users virtually summit the mountain.
Players wield their equipment, including harnesses, pulleys and an ice axe, using the Oculus Touch controllers. There’s even a “god mode” for a whistle stop tour.
It looks awesome.
