Apple has announced its latest Mac operating system, Mountain Lion 10.8.
We only just had Lion 10.7, which followed on from other cats, 2009's OS X Snow Leopard 10.6, and of course just the regular ol' Leopard.
Engadget has a preview copy and says the latest OS borrows heavily from the mobile iOS. It features the iCloud service, encouraging you to store more information away from your own computer, and on someone else's server.
iChat has been swapped for iMessage, the Apple messaging service found on your iPhone.
The Verge says the new centralised notification centre is the best feature.
Air Play mirroring is a highlight, allowing you to double screen to your heart's delight.
Plenty more details will come to light when the OS is released properly this summer.
Apple UK was contacted for comment, but was unavailable at the time of publication.
