Climbers have lit the first route used to ascend the Matterhorn, one of the highest mountains in the Alps.
The climbers placed glowing red beacons along the route resulting in the stunning image you see below.
Lighting the mountain was all part of a commemorative event organised by Swiss mountain clothing brand Mammut to recognise the first explorers who managed to scale the mountain 150 years ago.
The results are, as you cans see, stunning, with the clouds taking on the red hue of the beacons while the mountain itself stands clear against even the darkest night sky.
