Three years after she revealed her baby bump on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards 2011, Beyoncé confirmed her status as the queen of the VMAs in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The 32-year-old singer accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard prize (the equivalent of a lifetime achievement award) after performing a 17-minute set including 'Flawless,' 'Drunk In Love,' and 'XO' from her self-titled album.
However, this moment was particularly poignant for Beyoncé. As she broke down in tears after finishing the epic medley, her husband Jay Z and her two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy joined her on stage to help her receive the award.
Jay referred to his wife as "greatest living entertainer," while Blue showed her appreciation by yelling "mummy" into the microphone and happily clapping along as she watched her mum give her acceptance speech.
"I have nothing to say but I am filled with so much gratitude," the singer said.
It's not often we get to see the Carter family together in public - but their united front has put those break-up rumours to rest once and for all.
