The prospect of any kind of surgery can be horrendously daunting and when your manhood is involved, this feeling increases tenfold.
But for one man who was due to undergo a vasectomy, his mum had the best way to calm those nerves and say goodbye to his swimmers in style... with a hearty dose of humour (in the shape of a tasty-looking cake).
Reddit user, Brute1100, uploaded an image of the homemade vasectomy cake with the caption: "I'm having a vasectomy tomorrow and my mom got me a cake."
The cake shows a submarine in the sea, surrounded by fancy piping, with the caption: "So long boys."
While it's a little tongue-in-cheek for something which could be deemed a fairly touchy subject, we can't help but think the cake side of things definitely sweetened the deal.
