Caters
This story made us smile this morning.
Three-year-old Karime Nasser had to be rescued by firefighters after he got his head stuck between his school's railings!
Yes, forget saving cats from treetops, firefighters were called to help get Karime out of his pickle when he put his head between two railings as his mum, Sammi, dropped him off at school.
'You can't take your eyes off him for a second,' says Sammi. 'I shouted, "Don't do that, you'll get your head stuck" but it was too late, he just went ahead and did it. A crowd gathered round and people were taking pictures of him on their phones.'
The little lad was released using specialist hydraulic equipment, but mum Sammi couldn't be too mad with him, as she also got her head stuck in railings when she was little!
'I was about five when I got my head stuck so I couldn't be angry with him,' she explained.
'But then the next day he tried to do it again. He managed to squeeze part of his body between the railings, but luckily I got to him in time and helped him get out. He's a little tinker - he just doesn't stop. You have to have eyes in the back of your head 24/7.'
Bridlington Fire Station manager, Richard Bucknall, helped free adventurous Karime, and said he was surprised how calm the little boy was, especially when the specialist equipment came out!
'He was quite calm throughout, as though it was an ordinary thing for him. He didn't seem upset and it took just a few minutes to get him out using our specialist rescue equipment.
'I don't know how he managed to get stuck, but he was quite brave and there were no tears.'
Little Karime apparently has a nose for mischief. At the age of just three he's already been known to clamber out of his car seat and climb on to shed roofs!
What a cute, albeit mischievous little boy!
Has your child ever got into a sticky situation like Karime?
