It could be argued that what Miley Cyrus has been getting up to lately should be a criminal offence. All that thrusting and grinding in front of impressionable youngsters. All that TWERKING (you know, sticking your bum out and shaking it about).
But now one mother has decided, in her home at least, it is an offence to even copy the moves of the pop star, formerly known as the lovely, innocent Hannah Montana.
Frances Hena, from Bakersfield, California, was so appalled that her 11-year-old daughter Jamie 'twerked' at her school dance that she made her spend two hours on a busy street corner with a sign that read: "I was disrespecting my parents by twerking at a school dance."
Frances told local TV news: "I want her to realize that she is just a child and that she can't do that. "That's ridiculous to even think that's okay at a school dance.
"When she's 18, she can do whatever she wants. As of right now, that's not something she's going to be doing."
Frances said that she found out that her seventh-grade daughter performed the sexually explicit moves at her school dance through a friend.
She said she was furious the school did not tell her and failed to understand the seriousness of an 11-year-old attempting the moves.
Frances said she hoped her actions would inspire other parents.
"It's not something kids should be doing," she said.
