An outraged mum-of-three has hit out at a health club who refused to cancel her membership despite her objections to nudists using the pool.
Aline Belisario says that no one at the LA Fitness Club in Ewell, Surrey, told her when she took out her membership that naturists used the facilities.
"I was shocked and angry that I wasn't given this information when I joined the club," Aline told The Sun. "I requested to cancel my membership as I would rather not sit in the same sauna or spa where a naked person has been sitting."
Some 60 naturists from the Noah's Ark Swim and Sauna club use the pool and sauna when the club is closed to the public. However, Aline says she spotted the nude members on a CCTV monitor after she had been swimming with her three children last month.
The naturist club's press officer, Malcolm Beakhurst, told The Sun that Aline's complaint was 'ridiculous' and 'ill founded and without any logic'.
"I doubt her swimming costume is as clean as people sitting on towels in the sauna or spa," he said.
LA Fitness bosses seemingly agreed, saying that the mum had signed a contract and could not cancel it.
"While she might feel a little squeamish, there is physically no reason to feel so. She's never going to be there to see or experience it," they said.
