Mum Stunned To See 'Face Of Late Granddad' Kissing Her Unborn Baby In 4D Scan

Mum Shocked At What She Saw In 4D Baby Scan

A mum-to-be believes she has seen the face of her late granddad in a 4D baby scan, kissing her unborn baby.

Jade Hornsby, 21, went to Harley Street in London for a 4D scan after getting it as a gift from her mum Lesley Bineham, 47.

The areas of light and shadows in scan images make it notoriously difficult for some parents to make out the shape of their baby, but when Hornsby got home and looked at the photos not only could she see her daughter, but she also spotted an odd shape in the corner of one image.

On closer inspection Hornsby decided she could make out the profile of her late granddad Jack Hornsby - who passed away in 2007.

"It's really spooky. It looks just like him and you can see him more clearly than my daughter," said Hornsby, from Dagenham, East London.

Hornsby continued: "The lips are puckering up as if he's about to kiss her on the cheek.

"You can make out the eyes, nose and mouth so clearly."

Hornsby first noticed the face when she showed the pictures to her mum who instantly recognised Jack.

She added: "We just couldn't believe it. It's as if he's blessing her in the womb.

"I found it really comforting. I have good memories of my grandfather.

"It is like someone was looking over her."

Lacey-Mae Head, who will be two next month, was born in October 2013 at Queens Hospital, Romford, weighing 6lbs 6oz.
