Liz Mayes was helping her seven-year-old daughter out with her English homework when she decided to make a little suggestion of her own.
The mother-of-two decided that the worksheet, provided by the school, had been a little unfairly biased towards the male superheroes of the world.
All of the illustrations were of men dressed in capes and masks.
So when her daughter had a chance to write her own sentence at the end, she suggested that she might readdress the balance, writing: “Girls can be superheroes too.”

Great work mum.
