Forget Calendar Girls - there's a new group of women stealing the spotlight this new year.

Charity Gravesham Breast Buddies – which supports local mums - has produced a special breastfeeding We Can Do It calendar, with all profits going to the Little Buds special care baby fund at Darent Valley Hospital.

The calendar shows local mums breastfeeding their babies in a variety of locations and situations – including Vicky, who is pictured feeding her son Christopher in her wedding dress!

Gravesham Breast Buddies member Deborah Hart, of Pepper Hill, Northfleet, told her local paper: "It's the first time we've ever done this.

"I wanted to do a calendar as it seemed a great way to show off the beauty and normality of breastfeeding which I hope will give new mums the confidence to give it a try.

"You can be spontaneous and go anywhere without worrying about having all the paraphernalia of bottles or watching the clock to get back in time for a feed. These pictures really do show how flexible a feeding choice it is.

"All the women pictured are breastfeeding mums from the local area and, although posed, all the pictures are of babies genuinely feeding in ordinary - and extraordinary - situations.

"It's fantastic that women now know where to find support, breastfeeding information and strong networks when they need them - most women would agree these have a profound effect on breastfeeding success."

The photos were taken by award-winning local photographer Emma Donovan at The Photography Garden.
