A murder inquiry has been launched after a teenager died following a stabbing.

Police were called to reports of a fight at a block of flats in Brockley, south-east London on Thursday evening and found two 17-year-old boys with stab wounds.

Both boys were taken from Spalding House in Turnham Road to hospital where one died and another is in a stable condition.

Formal identification of the dead teen is yet to take place, but police said they believe they know who he is.

Detectives from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating the incident.

No arrests have been made, police said.
