A school is under investigation after a music teacher allegedly taught pupils for six years without qualifications.
Staff from the Scottish secondary then showed pupils the film School of Rock, which features Jack Black pretending to be a teacher, in order to "explain" the blunder.
Despite students describing their tutor Billy Russell as "the best" on a rating site, he was immediately removed from his position.
West Lothian Council confirmed an investigation was underway to establish how Russell was allowed to teach for so long undetected.
A spokesman said: "An internal disciplinary investigation is currently under way and it would not be appropriate to comment further at this stage."
Several videos have appeared on YouTube showing Russell playing guitar alongside pupils. One comment read "Go Mr Russell. Best music teacher EVER!"
