My Apartment: Amelia Trevette

My Apartment: Amelia Trevette
|

Amelia Trevette, a special bookings manager for Elite models, invited us over to her Tufnell Park home for cupcakes and fizz. Despite moving in just a few months ago, Amelia has made her mark on the flat she shares with her friend of 20 years, Juliet.

They've added personal pictures and mementos, in addition to the Britney Spears memorabilia megafan Juliet has collected over the years.

You've always lived in North London. What do you love so much about the area?

I grew up in Camden Town and although my family has now moved to Brighton, it will always be home. There's so much energy in Camden but also wonderful, calming green spaces close by. Regent's Park is my favourite park but in the summer I spend a lot of time with friends on Hampstead Heath. Then there's Primrose Hill which is home to two of my favourite restaurants: Lemonia and Odettes. For a great breakfast and pot of tea I go to Ginger and White in Hampstead. North London also has some great pubs. The Junction in Tufnell Park is our local - they make a delicious Bloody Mary!

My dream home would be in Primrose Hill. I'd love a ground floor flat with a view of the hill, lots of light from high windows and wooden floors throughout.

As a booker you have travelled a lot with work. Which other city would you like to live in?

Of all the cities I've travelled to for work Paris is my favourite and I've often thought about moving there for a year. I love the architecture and that you can walk everywhere. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been is the village of Positano on the Amalfi Coast - I'd love to go back.

Could you describe your dream place?

My dream home would be in Primrose Hill. I'd love a ground floor flat with a view of the hill, lots of light from high windows and wooden floors throughout. I would experiment with colours as I like white but also like to create a statement wall with brilliant colour.

It wouldn't be complete without a bathroom with a huge freestanding bath tub. It's something I've wanted for as long as I can remember.

How do you relax at home?

Endless mugs of Earl Grey tea and a DVD box set duvet day usually does the trick for me. Luther, the US version of TheOffice and American Horror Story are our top current household choices. My other treat is to take a very long bubble bath, with a glass of red wine, a stack of magazines and a book to hand. I've been known to take a two hour bath as I have no concept of time when I'm in there.

Where do you see yourself living in 10 years' time?

With a family home in North London (Primrose Hill please) and planning to get a country escape cottage in the Cotswolds. Here's hoping!
