The Eurovision for me holds really great memories. Ever since Bucks Fizz won in 1981, I have watched it and it was about that time that I knew I wanted to be a singer.
I was 10 years old then - and how was I to know that 12 years later, I was to represent my country, and I have to say representing your country in anything is a great honour.
To be asked by the BBC to be the 1993 entrant and to have a say in the whole process sealed it for me.

Coming second to Ireland at the time, I was devastated. I went back to my hotel room and ordered soup and rolls. But looking back, to come second and lose by one vote is bloody good.
The show opened up my career to the West End and touring shows. I am always busy with shows and concerts and of course when Eurovision comes around every May, I get to travel and perform for Eurovision parties and events - I am still part of the Eurovision family.
And you know what? The little girl from Liverpool watching back in 1981 seeing Bucks Fizz win now gets to sometimes sing on shows with them as her own daughter Gracie who's five watches on...
