NASA's New Horizons team made history as the spacecraft flew by Pluto and captured some mind-blowing shots of the demoted planet and its moon, Charon.
This is the stuff that even presidents get excited about.
However, contextualising this achievement in the grand scheme of astronomy's history is hard to do, which is why this video is simply brilliant.
The 16-second animation published by SpaceSciNewsroom gives us a quick tour of how we've viewed Pluto through the decades, starting with its discoverer Clyde Tombaugh and what he would have seen in 1930.
Compare this to the images released on Wednesday night, and the difference is worth shouting about.
