New Dress Code Rules For Royal Ascot
|

Sartorial style and Ascot is a royal affair, it's about sporting crowds and fabulous fashionable attire. It's about tradition and bravos. For those who were totally missing the mark, Ascot organisers sent out dress guides with tickets for the first time last year have repeated the process this year - here's to a far more dapper crowd in the Royal Enclosure this July. A few staple style rules include the following:

1. Dresses and skirts must be of modest length (above the knee or longer).

2. Hats should be worn; but a headpiece which has a base of 4 inches or more in diameter is acceptable as an alternative to a hat.

3. Trouser suits are acceptable but they must be full length and match in material and colour (matchy-matchy we're all over that trend!)

4. Midriff is a STRICT no, no.
