Gmail is a pretty solid and dependable workhorse but it can often feel a bit... cluttered.
So forgive us for getting a little excited about what appear to be leaked images of a radical overhaul of its interface.
Aside from the obvious aesthetic differences there are a couple of other tweaks.
Stars have been replaced with a new pin system and a new button on the lower right reveals a menu for user actions such as setting reminders or composing a new email.
As expected, there's a Hangouts interface and all the usual chat options.
If the new design does roll out it will be the first major design change since 2011.
Guess we'll have to wait until the Google I/O to find out for certain...
