The designer's show offered plenty of theatrical touches: a Barbie pink dream house as the set, a soundtrack provided by Beats by Dre headsets, which came on every seat, another catwalk appearance by Kendall Jenner - and make-up free models (according to Nars, who did the make-up for the show, the look was "skincare" and only moisturiser was applied to models' skin).

Clothes-wise, Jacobs had plenty of military-inspired touches, using an army fatigue palette on shirtdresses, top-and-skirt combos and combat trousers but giving them a high-fashion edge with oversized 3D polka dots (spots also showed up in his club-kid inspired Marc by Marc Jacobs show), delicate beading and unexpected patchwork details.

"It's a palette that we all know," he told The Guardian, "but we made it high fashion. It's the cartoon version of a fashion army."

Sixties shift dresses were also given cartoonish touches like oversized pockets and long collars and teamed with velvet Mary Janes with glitter heels and bowl-shaped hair.

Plus, check out this pic of the designer man himself (and Katie Grand) styling out Beats by Dre headphones.

There was an instrumental track and vocal narrative only heard via Beats Pro headphones that were overlayed for the show to create a unique immersed sound experience.

As ever, Marc Jacobs is way ahead of the fashion game...
