Passenger were left trapped in a New York subway train as it filled with smoke in what looks like a scene from a movie.
According to the New York Post, a fire broke out in the tunnel of the 7 line shortly after 11pm local time, filling the carriage with smoke after it had left Grand Central terminal in midtown Manhattan.
Twitter posts and Instagram pictures quickly began to circulate online showing the terrified commuters covering their faces. Fortunately, no one was injured and a full service quickly resumed.
