Four men have been arrested after a man was found dying with stab wounds, police said on Saturday.

Thames Valley Police said the man, 38, was found seriously injured at the property in Queens Road, Newbury, Berkshire, at about 10pm yesterday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, a spokesman said.

Police had initially been called to a 33-year-old man who was found seriously injured in Boundary Road, Newbury, at 9.25pm.

He was taken to hospital, where he is in a serious condition, the spokesman said.

Two men, aged 20 and 22, were arrested in the Thatcham area on suspicion of murder early today police said.

A 32-year-old man was arrested in the Newbury area. A fourth man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Detective Chief Inspector Joe Kidman said: "Both victims appear to have stab type injuries. It does appear that the parties involved are known to each other."
