Andrew Lloyd Webber has got his claws out once again, over Nicole Scherzinger’s ‘Cats’ exit.
Last month, the musical theatre producer let slip that Nicole had dropped out of a Broadway production of ‘Cats’ so she could reclaim her spot on the ‘X Factor’ judging panel, admitting he was “furious” over her choice.
He’s now elaborated even further, telling The Sun: “The American producers had not seen what she could do.
Lord Lloyd Webber also claimed that Nicole’s manager has “resigned” over the incident, adding: “She took [the producers] to the eleventh hour and everything was agreed with her manager, who has since resigned over this. He’s not representing her anymore.”
He had previously fumed: “I went out on a limb to get her for the London Palladium here, and it makes me look like an absolute twot with them all.
Former ‘X Factor’ champion Leona Lewis has since been announced as Nicole’s replacement.
Attempting to explain her departure, Nicole said at the time: “I had every intention of doing ‘Cats’ on Broadway but the contract was never finalised.
