Nicole Scherzinger could be about to earn a pretty penny with her upcoming ‘X Factor’ comeback, it has been claimed.
The ‘Your Love’ singer, who previously enjoyed a two-year stint on the panel until stepping down in 2013, has been widely tipped to return to the show for its forthcoming 13th series, with new reports suggesting she’s to bag as much as £1M in her new deal.
An insider tells The Sun: “Simon thinks Nicole is a great asset to the show and is delighted he was able to sign her up, despite the commitments she previously had elsewhere.
Nicole’s rumoured return to the show has been a particularly controversial one, with Andrew Lloyd Webber publicly blasting her for leaving a Broadway production of ‘Cats’ to accept her new judging role.
The “furious” producer said last month: “The American producers just took a view - ‘Well, fine, we’ll get somebody else’, because she’s actually not very well known in America, amazingly. She’s much better known here.
'X Factor' winner Leona Lewis has since been announced as Nicole's replacement in the production.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer is thought to be returning alongside fellow former judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, with The Sun’s source continuing: “Not one of the judges – Nicole, Sharon or Louis – could ever be accused of shying away from an opinion. And Nicole also brings her own brand of eccentric humour.”
