Nigel Farage has confirmed he will be contesting the 2015 General Election - but has not yet decided where to run.
Ukip hailed a series of stunning results in the 2013 local elections, gaining 137 council seats.
But the eurosceptic party still has no presence at Westminster - and even a projection of Thursday's vote share would leave them short of gaining their first MP.

On Friday, Farage confirmed to BBC Radio Kent that he would contest the next General Election. In 2010 he tried unsuccessfully to unseat Commons Speaker John Bercow in Buckingham.
Ukip spokesman Gawain Towler told The Huffington Post UK that Farage would also contest next year's European elections, and would only stand down as an MEP if he was successful at Westminster.
He said: "Of course he will stand, but he didn't say where. Merely that he will be standing in the next General Election."
Asked what type of seat Farage would target, Towler added: "That's not even been considered."
Elections expert Professor Michael Thrasher, of Plymouth University, said: "I for one would not bet against a Ukip candidate winning a Parliamentary by-election..because they've demonstrated in Eastleigh and elsewhere that they can come from nowhere. They have momentum.
"At the General Election, if someone like Farage stood in a constituency, he may well win."
Farage received just 17.4% of the vote in 2010, winning just over a third of Bercow's votes total.
There has been speculation that he could run in Portsmouth South, if under-pressure Lib Dem Mike Hancock were to stand down.
