Attention Single Guys - This Town Entirely Made Up Of Women Seeks Men

If you're a single guy, you might want to consider booking yourself a flight to Brazil.

Noiva do Cordeiro, a small town in Brazil, has a population entirely made up of women - and they've just made an appeal for single men.

The settlement was founded by Maria Senhorinha de Lima in the 1890s after she fled from her forced marriage. It is now home to more than 600 ladies, most aged between 20 and 35.

Although a small proportion of the women are married, their husbands are forced to work away from home and are only allowed to return on weekends. Sons are also sent away when they reach the age of 18.

Speaking to The Mirror, Nelma Fernandes, 23, said although living on the settlement has its benefits, it is nearly impossible to find a romantic partner.

"Here, the only men we single girls meet are either married or related to us, everyone is a cousin. I haven't kissed a man for a long time.

"We all dream of falling in love and getting married. But we like living here and don't want to have to leave the town to find a husband," she said.

But guys, before you dash about the house in search of your passport, you need to have a good long think about whether you really want to live in a "woman's world."

The ladies of Noiva do Cordeiro are appealing for eligible bachelors to visit their community, but are only interested in males who are willing to live by "their rules."

You have been warned.
