Ola Jordan Eyes Soap Role, After 'Strictly Come Dancing' Departure

'There are no Polish people in soaps, so I could fill that gap.'

Ola Jordan has revealed she’s setting her sights on becoming a soap star, now her time on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ is through.

The former professional stepped down from ‘Strictly’ at the end of last year after a decade on the show, and recently took part in ‘I’m A Celebrity’.

She’s now spoken about her future plans, admitting that she’d be keen to represent the Polish community in Great Britain on a UK soap.

When asked by The Sun whether she’d be cropping up in ‘Hollyoaks’ in the future, Ola said she “can’t speak about that”, but added: “The thing is in all the soaps they don’t have any Polish people and there are so many in the country, they should bring one in.

Conveniently, Ola already has a friend on the inside, having previously been partnered with long-serving ‘Hollyoaks’ star Ashley Taylor Dawson on ‘Strictly’.

The Channel 4 soap has already welcomed a handful of new additions to the cast in 2016, including ‘Dallas’ legend Linda Gray, former ‘Loose Women’ presenter Lisa Maxwell and Blue singer Duncan James.

Despite leaving ‘Strictly’ almost a year ago, Ola has managed to keep her name in the headlines, recently admitting that she’d turned the chance to appear on a dance show on the BBC’s rival channel, ITV.

As reports suggested she was offered a “big money” deal to star in ‘Dance Dance Dance’, she insisted: I think I’m done with dance shows now. I was offered the ITV show but I just turned it down.
