Olivia Wilde's Oscars Makeup: How To Get Her Sixties Look

There was a trend for classic, understated hair and makeup at the Oscars 2014. The leader of this less is more pack? It was mum-to-be Olivia Wilde.

As Revlon's brand ambassador, Wilde did have a little help on the beauty front. Celebrity makeup artist Melanie Inglessis was the woman behind this Sixties-inspired look.

"We wanted the look to be simple and classic", said Inglessis. "I created a very precise eye that makes a statement but still works well with her fresh skin and light peach lips."

So - how did she do it?

Revlon's PhotoReady Perfecting Primer and PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminator gave Wilde's skin a flawless but dewy finish.

And Inglessis' secret to mastering the ultimate cat-eye flick? She used both a liquid eyeliner and a pencil to create a strong, graphic shape, then added Revlon's new ShadowLinks in taupe for a soft shimmer on the eyelids.

As for that amazing peachy tone on the lips, Revlon's Matte Balm was applied before the Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Cognito. Remember that name - it could just be the perfect colour for spring.
