One Direction have unveiled their latest single ‘Perfect’... although a lot of people are noticing that it sounds a little familiar.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the song’s lyrics contain veiled references to Harry Styles’ former relationship with Taylor Swift, although having now heard it for ourselves, it’s not just the words that are putting us in mind of Taylor.
In fact, it has been noted that the entire chorus to ‘Perfect’ sounds an awful lot like ‘Style’, one of the songs Taylor is thought to have written about her brief relationship with Harry.

As if we weren’t already convinced that lyric mentioning “someone to write break-up songs about” was a Taylor Swift dig...
Of course, this is far from the first time a One Direction song has given listeners déjà vu (or should that be déjà entendu? We digress…).

When they unveiled their track, ‘Steal My Girl’, some critics noted that it appeared to sound an awful lot like the New Found Glory song ‘It’s Not Your Fault’, while the introduction to ‘Live While We’re Young’ was also heavily criticised for its striking resemblance to The Clash’s ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’.
Similarly, when ‘Best Song Ever’ first debuted, its introduction was compared to The Who’s track ‘Baba O’Riley’.
‘Perfect’ follows ‘Drag Me Down’ as the second single to be lifted from 1D’s upcoming fifth album, ‘Made In The AM’, their first not to feature Zayn Malik, who quit the group back in March.
The collection will be released on the same day as Justin Bieber’s new album, ‘Purpose’, which it’s safe to say The Biebs was less than happy about, when asked about it in an interview last week.
