Hungover Paddy McGuinness Has This Morning Viewers In Hysterics With Chaotic Appearance

As one viewer put it, it was a case of "Paddy Too Much Guinness".

When it comes to appearing on This Morning hungover with no sleep, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby often have that covered, but on Tuesday it was Paddy McGuinness who was feeling worse for wear on the show.

Viewers were left in hysterics after the Top Gear presenter was left dealing with the after effects of a night out partying and no sleep live on air.

Paddy was joined on the daytime show by Top Gear co-star Chris Harris, hours after the world premiere of the new series in London’s Leicester Square.

During the show, Paddy gatecrashed a crisp tasting segment and admitted: “I won’t lie to you, I’ve not been to bed.”

When he was offered a sample of pale ale, he replied: “Not more of that stuff,” and joked that he had sprayed mace on himself.

When he was later joined by Chris on the sofa, he told Phil and Holly: “I knew I was flying too close to the sun when I was on stage and I said to the Director General of the BBC ‘Get the sambucas in, son’.

He joked: “He’s still there drinking, he’s still on it.”

Asked by Holly what he brings to the BBC motoring show, he replied: “Alcohol, lots of it.”

After Paddy then made a joke about his co-host only having one nipple, Chris said: “This is worse than I ever thought it would be.”

Phillip – who famously appeared on This Morning after a boozy night at the National Television Awards with co-host Holly – joked: “I find it quite shocking anyone could come on this sofa and be drunk. Who would do that?”

Referencing next week’s NTAs, Holly replied: “This time next week it will be us,” before advising the pair: “Go home, get a wash, get to bed.”

Paddy’s behaviour certainly amused fans over on Twitter...

Paddy and former cricketer Freddie Flintoff joined the presenting team on Top Gear alongside Chris last year, replacing Matt LeBlanc, with their second series as a trio debuting on Sunday.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
