Beautiful Images Created By Dropping Paint Into Water

They say an artist's mind will see beauty in the strangest of places. Photographer Mark Mawson claims he saw it when pouring milk into his coffee - the inspiration behind these beautiful images of paint dropped into water.

The 43-year-old Londoner created 'Aqueous Fluoreau' - his third set of photos utilising a secret method involving paint and water - while staying in the south of France last month.

Mawson told the Telegraph: "I get most satisfaction from seeing people enjoying my work. Most people love it but it evokes different feelings in different people. Each person sees different things in the images - much like seeing faces or patterns in the clouds in the sky.

"There will be a new Aqueous series in 2012, based on the same technique but it will be on a totally different theme. Although I have been taking pictures since I was eight years old, I first experimented with this technique six years ago.

"I love the results - they make me smile."
