In the run up to Christmas, many parents rely on the threat of Father Christmas's 'Naughty List' to keep their kids well behaved. But once the presents have been opened most children believe they are safe for another year.
Not so for one poor boy who had his present taken off him just days after he received it, when his parents retrospectively put him on Santa's naughty list.
Not only did the parents return the boy's new Nintendo Wii U Console with Super Mario Kart game to the shop it was bought from. They also shared the return receipt on Imgur, which states that the reason for the return is:
'Son was put on the naughty list, had to watch it being returned.'
We're not sure what the boy did to deserve this - if not cruel, then certainly unusual - punishment.
It's hit a nerve with people online, as within two days of being shared by Reddit user bdy2013 with the caption 'Parenting done right', the picture has been viewed more than 1 million times.
Commenters were split over whether this really is an example of 'parenting done right'
One commenter wrote: "I told my son that I kept the receipt for his Christmas present so he'd better behave! It worked."
However, another dubbed the parents: 'Satan Claus'
What do you think? Is this an example of 'parenting done right'?
