Kim Kardashian's new hairstyle might have stolen Balmain's thunder on Thursday, but day four at Paris Fashion Week was all about Christian Dior.
Raf Simons presented his Autumn/Winter 2015 collection for the French fashion house in front of a star-studded front row, including Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson, singer Lorde and Kanye West (who was without his famous wife).
The themes this season? Inspired by animals and nature, the collection featured zebra-like stripes and swirling zebra motifs in bold, contrasting colours. There was a definite nod to the 1960s, but mini dresses, boxy shapes and catsuits were mixed with futuristic mirrored sunglasses, an almost metallic mesh fabric and high-shine boots.
"I wanted the collection to deal with nature and femininity in a different way,' Simons explained in his show notes. "Away from the garden and the flower to something more liberated, darker, more sexual.
"The idea of animals and an abstraction of their patterns became key," he added.
While ankle boots with coloured see-through heels are sure to be a hit with Dior fans everywhere, it seems there's only one way to wear your hair when channeling this look - sleek, straight and very glossy.
