The hair and makeup at Paris Fashion Week never disappoints and the Spring/Summer 2014 shows were no different. From back to basics beauty to girls with attitude, here's how to stay one step ahead next season:
1. Grunge girls
Carven's show proved that the only way to wear a floral print with attitude is by pairing it with a black kohl liner (a pretty braid down one side of the parting works too). However - there was no better to show to look to for grunge girl inspiration than Saint Laurent. Rock chick eat your heart out.
2. Fuss-free hair
Backstage at Balmain, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley proved that hair doesn't need to be overly styled to look amazing. Ditto Cara Delevingne and Miranda Kerr at Stella McCartney's show. Swept-over partings and tousled ponytails looked perfectly sleek.
3. Sparkle sparkle
From gold-leaf lashes at Dries Van Noten to Pat McGrath's wonder brows at Dior - there's nothing like a hint of precious metal to make the face shine.
4. Nail trend alert!
When nails weren't left to look natural (we're talking NO nail polish), metallic shades were popular at the Paris shows. Silver sparkled at Nina Ricci but our favourite shade of the season? Metallic gunmetal, seen on the Elie Saab catwalk.
5. Back to basics
Effortless, natural skin was seen in both Milan and London, so it's no surprise that the trend was everywhere in Paris too. Chloe's girls were breathtakingly beautiful with zero mascara and glossy nude lips, while at Lanvin, skin was flawless.
