A 61-year-old IT worker has denied accusations that he tried to have sex with a sheep next to Tottenham Hotspur’s new training ground.
Paul Lovell was allegedly caught with the animal close to the new facility on Hotspur Way, Enfield, in north London on 4 September.
It is believed the Premier League team was training at the centre on the day, the Evening Standard reports.
Lovell appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
A court listings clerk confirmed to HuffPost UK Lovell had been charged with one count of indecent exposure and a further count of outraging public decency.
She added Lovell was accused of committing a sexual act with a sheep and trying to encourage the sheep to perform a sexual act on him.
Lovell denies the charges and has been released on bail with the condition he does not return to the area where it is claimed the alleged offences took place. He will now face a plea in case management hearing at Wood Green Crown Court on 2 October.
