A spokesperson for Kent Police has confirmed that drug paraphernalia was found in the home of Peaches Geldof following her death last month at the age of just 25.

An inquest was told earlier this week that Peaches had the class-A drug heroin in her system when she passed away suddenly on April 7, though it had been reported no drug paraphernalia was discovered.

However, police have now released a statement which said: “While no detail will be provided around specific items, to prevent further speculation I will confirm that contrary to rumour in the media my officers did seize drugs paraphernalia from the address on 7th April.”

They have also made it clear that the star’s husband, and the father of her two children, Thomas Cohen is not being treated as a suspect in her death.

They added: “Following recent speculation in the media, I would like to make it clear that Thomas Cohen is not in any way under suspicion of any involvement in Peaches Geldof-Cohen's death or our concurrent investigation into the supply of drugs.

"He has not been arrested or interviewed under caution and there is no plan to do so. The only statement he has provided related to his discovery of Peaches' body, which is a standard requirement.”

A private funeral for Peaches was held in Kent last month, at the same church where she’d married her husband two years earlier, and also where her mother Paula Yates’s ashes were scattered following her death from a heroin overdose in 2000, when Peaches was just 11 years old.
