This is Holly Aston and after two years of hiding in the shadows, avoiding bikinis and basically any flesh-revealing attire, she has revealed her shame to all the world.

Thankfully it’s all in a good cause – Aston is appearing on Channel 4’s Bodyshockers at 10pm on Monday – and as a payoff she’ll have her tattoo removed.

The backstory: Aston bought a tattoo gun off the internet for £50 and held drunken tattoo parties with her friends (who also did her the service of etching the word “dyke” on one ankle…)

She said: “I knew what they were doing and didn’t mind at the time. It was just a joke and I thought it was funny.

“But then I woke up the next day, looked at it and thought ‘oh God, what have I done?’

“The joke was over and it really wasn’t funny anymore.”
