Online retailer Firebox is making period pants a thing with a collection of "bloody marvellous" briefs by Harebrained, a company funded by Kickstarter.
The guy who designed these pants - featuring a number of period pun slogans and "cramp stamps" - coined them as:
"Fun underwear that high-fives you for having ovaries and serves as a friendly reminder to others!"
After raising its profile through this Kickstarter project, the brand is now selling its Period Panties on Firebox for £9.99 a pair.
We get the joke, really, and they do look kind of comfortable (elasticated) but they've got nothing on these vagina pants.
And we can safely say the day that we pay money to wear pants that read "Evil Beaver", "Dawn of the Red" or "Curse of Blood" is the day we start walking around with tampon name badges as a warning to all that we're "on".
It just doesn't feel like these 'Period Panties' are on side. We get it - but there's just something in the tone that is a little too patronising.
This tagline: "A pair of undies that affectionately says "not tonight darling"? We're really not feeling it.
On the plus side *thinks about the pros* they look pretty colourful, comfy and make a change from the skin tone granny pant stereotype.
The website says "You'd be menstrual not to buy a pair!" but we'll let you decide on that.
