You can go off a person, you know. And right now we're very much 'off' new dad Peter Andre after a revelation that has left the mums here at Parentdish gnashing their teeth with 'Life's so unfair' jealousy!
The reason: pop star Pete's disclosure that his bride-to-be and mother to just-named Amelia has got her abs back...three weeks after giving birth.
The 40-year-old dad-of-three boasted to New! Magazine that fiancée Emily MacDonagh's body had sprung back to her pre-pregnancy shape.
He said: "Did that nine months even happen? She is back to normal."
Twist the knife, why doncha!
He went on: "She won't say it but I can. She's like, 'I need to go to the gym' and I'm thinking, 'Are you for real?! I can see your abs three weeks after the birth!' She looks great."
Oh, Peter, how could you? After all the support we've given you these past years. Please gain a little diplomacy and keep such indiscretions to yourself!
Pete – who has two other children, Princess, six, and Junior, eight, with ex-wife Katie Price – also described Emily's breastfeeding as the most natural thing in the world.
He said: "I do feel a bit redundant but it's an incredible thing. It's a whole new experience for me – but every new experience I've had with my children has been incredible.
Asked whether he thought it was a beautiful thing to watch, Peter said: "Yes. It's weird but before I'd experienced it... I think guys just feel it's a bit taboo. But when it's your partner it's the most natural thing in the world."
In the interview he also revealed it took them a while to decide on a name for Amelia.
He explained: "Before the baby was born there were a couple of names we loved – Rose, Amelia, Alexandra – and I loved Elizabeth because it's English and very traditional.
"When the baby was early, we hadn't decided on a name, so we began calling her the names and none of them looked like her.
Speaking before they settled on Amelia, Pete said:. "We call her Bista's sister and No Name, which is cute. What we've decided to do is call her a different name every day and see which one feels right."
Despite getting engaged, Peter says the couple are going to wait for a few years and get married when Emily has finished her medical degree.
He said: "Emily would love it to be Greek and English, but I would love to have a traditional English wedding then hop on a plane with our families and have a big fat Greek wedding. So we'll do two celebrations – why not?
"The reason I want it in a few years is because Ems wants to finish her degree and I want her to be settled in a job that she's comfortable in. And then, obviously, the baby will be old enough to walk and I think that'll be sweet."
