Phil Neville has rejoined Manchester United as a member of new manager David Moyes' new backroom staff.
Neville played under Moyes for eight years at Everton having begun his professional career at United.
The 36-year-old joins assistant Steve Round, first-team coach Jimmy Lumsden and goalkeeping coach Chris Woods, who all followed Moyes from Goodison Park to Old Trafford.
A boyhood United fan and product of the club's academy, Neville's knowledge of the Reds and relationship with several first-teamers could act as a key bridge between manager and players.
Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs and Darren Fletcher all played alongside Neville, while the Bury-born former defender has represented England alongside Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick.
Neville made his United debut against Wrexham in 1995
The younger Neville made his United debut in 1995 before captaining the club to their eighth FA Youth Cup triumph later that year.
Neville made 386 appearances for United and won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, a Champions League winners' medal and an Intercontinental Cup before he left for Merseyside in 2005.
Ignominiously, his final Everton display came in the 3-0 home defeat to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup quarter-final. Neville, at fault for Callum McManaman's goal, was hauled off at half-time.
The former Everton captain's first foray into coaching came under Stuart Pearce's England Under-21 set-up this year.
